Defiance affects everyone, no matter your age. And it traps you in your selfishness, stubbornness, indifference, resistance, and contempt. Why not get rid defiance and live according to God’s Word. “Good understanding produces favor, but the way of the treacherous is hard,” (Proverbs 13:15 NASB).
Christians are unwise when they remain out of touch and live in secrecy. Being responsible includes being accountable, not just to God but also to one another. If carried out in the power and under the control of the Holy Spirit, accountability can be one of the most secure and reassuring facets of our Christian experience.
We can live a few weeks without food, a few days without water, but we can’t live long without hope.
Death is inevitable, and once you’re in its grip there is no escape. The good news is those in Christ don’t need to fear death because it ushers us into the presence of God.
In Hebrew, the word “integrity” means an unimpaired condition. Another word is “solid.” A person with integrity is not divided or devious.
While you can’t always control what happens, you can control your response. Your choice of attitude is the single most significant decision you can make on a daily basis. Positive responses develop patience, perseverance, and self-control.
There are teachable moments in life where we suddenly realize we’re adults (or, we’re quickly on our way). One of the heaviest things you will carry is the difficult task of letting your children go. Have you released yours? Will you release them?
Friends are essential. They provide comfort, encouragement, and strength.
When things don’t go our way it’s tempting to get angry. A better ways is to laugh it off. When you choose to smile in the midst of chaos you’re choosing to rise above your circumstances.
