Yet to all of us, laid low and often hindered by the frailty of our human condition, God says, “My grace is all you need.”
For too long you’ve been “hard of listening.” God not only has a lot to say...you’ve got a lot to learn.
On a “contentment scale” of one to 10, what number would the Lord give your life right now? Is it the right time to rethink your priorities so you can begin living more simply?
Just thinking about our Lord’s words calms my anxious mind. Jesus has a way of putting everything in proper perspective, doesn’t He? Go there...today. Then go there...tomorrow.
Reading keeps our minds engaged and refreshed. It also broadens us, so we can connect with people who don’t know Christ in ways that make sense to them and cause them to draw near to faith.
By keeping the Lord at the centre of our homes by inviting His presence before meals, acknowledging Him in prayer at the close of each day, and seeking Him in His Word at critical moments when a situation seems impossible, we guarantee our efforts will not be in vain.
Don’t trade those times around the table with your children and grandchildren for anything! They are treasured moments. Let them be.
Let’s be gentle and sensitive when we are touching the tender feelings of others—especially with our words. Moms and dads, it’s hard to exaggerate the value of gentle words within the walls of your home.
Tact graces a life like fragrance graces a rose. One whiff of those red petals erases any thought of the thorns.
