Any parent knows that some of the rewards and gratification of parenting are delayed. But the time to collect them surely arrives when you become a grandparent! That’s when you get to observe your own children passing on the truths you weren’t even sure they heard you teach. You also begin to see a clearer picture of the legacy you will leave behind.
Grandparents have lived enough life that they can see beyond the daily crises and moments of discipline and offer an encouraging perspective, a listening ear, and, of course, constant prayers.

One of Satan's greatest lies is that there is no urgency in life. He fools us into thinking there will always be plenty of time in the future to explain to our little ones about God, salvation, and the Bible.
Time with our kids and grandkids is precious. It is irretrievable time…never to come again. My advice? Give attention…take photos…and start laughing.
When we discipline our children our words often speak louder than our actions. Yes, the rod stings and can hurt. But the wounds our words leave behind last far longer than any physical discomfort our children experience.
