We’ve never felt a greater urgency to press on

Our dear friend,

You really are dear to us. That’s not flattery or exaggeration. Truthfully, we think of you often and pray for you regularly. We care deeply about your growth in Christ Jesus. We want all to be well with you. Chuck and I would love to have an unhurried dinner with you and every other listener of Insight for Living!

But time and distance simply won’t allow it. So we take comfort in this: you are far dearer to our Father in heaven. So dear that He sent His only Son to die on a cross for the sins of the whole world—for people like us. That’s no cliché. It’s the plain truth.

I just want to let you know how grateful we are to all our financial partners who have joined with us over a tumultuous year. The generosity and faithfulness is so humbling. We constantly give God all the praise!

I imagine you have much on your mind. Perhaps it’s your family or finances, country or church. We certainly have a lot on our minds as well. All the cares often seem crushing or, at least, distracting. For that reason, the apostle Peter encourages us:

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:6–7)

Remember to stay steadfast in prayer. Our Lord works through the prayers of His people. Pray for your family, your church’s pastors and leaders, and steadfastly pray for our country. Please pray for us at Insight for Living Canada as well. If you haven’t recently donated to our ministry, please consider doing so today. We’ve never felt a greater urgency to press on in accomplishing Jesus’ mission. I hope you have the same feeling. To Him be all the glory and honour.

With much affection and gratitude for you,
