Celebrating 70 years of marriage, Chuck and Cynthia Swindoll demonstrate an ongoing dedication to their faith, family, and ministry as they adapt to new challenges with resilience and perseverance.

In June, Chuck and Cynthia celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, a remarkable milestone of enduring love and faithfulness. In July, they commemorated these seven decades together with family on a special Alaska cruise. Their commitment to the Lord and each other never waivers.

At age 90, Chuck continues to minister and impact lives in many ways including continuing weekly mentoring sessions with his grandsons, diligently imparting godly wisdom to the next generation. Chuck also actively mentors pastors across the nation, both within local churches and at Insight for Living’s international headquarters.

This year, Chuck has started recording new podcast episodes, with more planned for 2026. He’s still using that distinctive voice to encourage and teach. And perhaps the most anticipated news is that Chuck has completed his memoir with the goal of publication early next year.

Amid these celebratory updates, Chuck continues to navigate health challenges. Glaucoma has significantly impacted his eyesight, resulting in a 90 percent vision loss in his left eye. Doctors are working diligently to preserve the limited vision in his right eye. Choosing to face this with his characteristic optimistic attitude, Chuck has discovered a new passion: listening to audiobooks. He’s devouring approximately five books each week.

Cynthia, who celebrated another birthday in April, remains in good physical health, though she continues to endure the debilitating effects of dementia. Daily support from Chuck along with the loving care of family and friends provides her with essential reassurance and security, as well as moments of joy.
