Although difficult, we need to learn to wait for God’s timing with patience and contentment. Worry is worthless. God knows our needs, and He can handle them.

We live in a death-denying culture. We don’t like to think about it, talk about it, or even plan on it. But Jesus did not have that option. The shadow of the cross stretched across each day of His life on earth.

While the trials of Jesus adjourned long ago, each of us must render a verdict in our own hearts. Only today, it is not His fate we decide; it is our own.

We can’t change our feelings but we have total control over our behaviour. And our behaviour is linked to our decisions, because those choices are ours. When we choose obedience to God it brings Him favour.
