It’s been said that the only guarantee in life is death and taxes. The Lord certainly never guaranteed us a long physical life or one free from pain or sorrow…or taxes. Furthermore, the pursuit of material abundance will always end in either failure or disappointment. Nevertheless, Jesus said that abundant life is available through Him—by His means and on His terms.
