The one constant in life is change—and most of it is unexpected. Flexibility is the key to handling change. That way you can be open to it and live courageously and victoriously.
Though a twin, he was quite the opposite of his younger brother and ultimately became the heartache of the family. Ripped off by his brother and rejected by his family, he couldn’t win, no matter how hard he tried. As we shall soon discover, the Bible pulls no punches. And you may find several places in this story where you can identify with Esau, “the son who couldn’t win.”
What’s holding you back from living your life to the fullest? Feelings of uselessness? Self-pity? Fear? Guilt? It’s never too late—or too early—to make positive changes.
Whatever your age, you need to keep learning, trying new things, and setting new goals. As someone has said, “Age is a matter of mind over matter—if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
Courage is just another word for inner strength. God’s Medal of Honour winners are made in secret, because our most courageous acts occur down deep inside, away from the view of the general public. That takes courage. It takes a strong resolve.
