Editorial Submission Guidelines for Insight for Living Canada
Our Mission:
To communicate the truth and relevance of Scripture in a clear and practical manner
Our Purpose:
To encourage, strengthen, and reach out to Canadian adults in every walk of life.
Our Product:
Insights Canada is a 20-page monthly magazine, with a circulation of approximately 10,000. It is a free publication, focusing on applying God’s Word to everyday life.
Our Writers:
Authors aren’t required to be previously published but should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a strong desire to spread the Good News about Him to others.
What we Look for:
- Articles glorifying God and offering hope to readers in a positive, not preachy way
- Articles showing how Christ is making a difference and how you’re applying biblical truth in your everyday life
- We are particularly interested in Canadian content
How to Query us:
- Direct queries to Joy McKee, Editor at info@insightforliving.ca
- Queries should not include attachments
- Only include a synopsis in your query—if we like your idea, we’ll further the conversation
- Your query should describe your writing background
- As we assign articles by theme, please also include your interests and other experience
- All queries will receive a reply, however, we may take up to four weeks to respond
- To improve your chances of a successful query, please familiarize yourself with Insights (back issues available online) and our essential beliefs
- At this point, we’re only accepting queries for the Strong Family and LifeTrac columns
Strong Family is experiential non-fiction on anything to do with: family life, marriage, home building, relationships, day-to-day family life, etc.
LifeTrac uses experiential first person non-fiction to help young adults relate the truth of God’s Word to real life. Preference is given to writers who are young adults.
