Recently while watching the news on my cell phone, I tried to fathom what life was like before a person could gather information using modern technology … a time when a person would look expectantly out the window waiting on the postman or when a person would go into town to buy a newspaper. News sometimes took a while to come around the bend and was spotty at best.
Today's generation can see thousands of online images, view videos, and learn about anything with just a click of a button. Thanks to the Internet, information comes quickly and can be very thorough. How blessed we are to live in an age of instant access, and furthermore, how blessed we are to have access to accurate biblical facts, teaching, and geographic details … right at our fingertips!
Thanks to the on-demand world we live in, Insight for Living is able to offer much-needed Bible teaching and encouragement to people all across the globe. And in the month of March, we are bringing parts of the globe right back here to you.
During part of this month, Insight for Living is touring the Holy Land, experiencing the sights and sounds of the land of God's chosen people. We're seeing the mountain where God asked for a sacrifice from Abraham, where David purchased a threshing floor, and where Solomon built a glorious temple. We're experiencing the sounds of the waves of the Sea of Galilee and the views from the cliffs of Nazareth. We're walking on the synagogue floor of Capernaum and wading in the cool waters of the Jordan River.
