So, How Do You Characterize God?

June 8, 2010

Whenever I think about God, the first words that pop into my mind are: compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. These are the words from Psalm 86:15 (NIV), but they also appear other times in Scripture.

There are also many other words in the Bible describing who God is, what God is, and what He does. Words like: Deliverer, Guide, Almighty, Holy One, King of Kings, Father.

Do any of these words resonate with you? Some? All? None?

This month, LifeTrac focuses on God the Father. In Pabulum Day, I relay an experience with my dad when the word compassion became a real concept, and not just a word.

This is my story, tell me yours: describe how an experience in your life you helped you gain a deeper understanding of God the Father.
