Darren Malin is a campus leader with the Navigators of Canada at the University of Calgary. He brings to this position: a Bachelor of Commerce from U of C, a Masters of Arts in Leadership from Trinity Western University, and a nomiation for the 35 under 35 National Recognition Project as a dynamic, young Canadian leader. Darren also works as an associate staff member with The Christian Medical/Dental Society (CMDS) helping medical students in their faith journeys.
Now in his fourth year of campus work, Darren is guided by two pieces of Scripture in ministry: Matthew 9:36-38 and 2 Timothy 2:2. A focus on discipleship and developing labourers for ministry is his calling and passion.
In July 2008, Darren married Alexis, a high school math teacher. Alexis brings a pleasant balance to Darren’s campus ministry. During the warm Calgary summer, they can be found hitting a little white ball around on God’s country.
