UPDATED: Come check out the IFL Israel Tour Video Blog!

Recently while watching the news on my cell phone, I tried to fathom what life was like before a person could gather information using modern technology … a time when a person would look expectantly out the window waiting on the postman or when a person would go into town to buy a newspaper. News sometimes took a while to come around the bend and was spotty at best.

Question: I was hurt in the past when some relationships went bad, and now I'm afraid of starting new relationships. When I attend church, I keep to myself. Even at work, I don't talk much with people. I know that's not right. How can I honour God and point others to Him without building relationships? I feel caged by my fear. What should I do?

Why did Jesus need to be raised? I mean, if our sins need to be paid for on the cross, He did that. What is so significant about coming back to life?

Look at Romans 4, verse 25. I'll give you a little simple formula that will help you keep the two separate. When it comes to sins, you've got to have the cross. When it comes to being declared righteous, you've got to have the empty tomb.

I can't explain what God has done. For the last nine years, I have served as pastor of the Spanish Ministries at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. As a Spanish-speaking ministry, we have witnessed the changes Christ has made in the lives of many people. Incredible changes! But I can't explain how it all took place. I have heard this statement that holds great truth: “If you can explain what is going on, then God isn't doing it!” 1 God is the God of the impossible. Miracles are His specialty. Don't misunderstand; we are not a perfect church.
